Silent Ice Center to host Co-op Canadian Open next season

The best curlers in the world are ready to make some noise, as Grand Slam of Curling takes over Silent Ice Center in Nisku, Alberta, for the Co-op Canadian Open from Nov. 5-10, 2024.

As the second stop of the 2024-25 Grand Slam of Curling season, the Co-op Canadian Open will feature the top 16 men’s and 16 women’s teams from around the world.

This is the first time a Grand Slam of Curling event has been held in Nisku, located just south of Edmonton, and marks the first major broadcasted event from the Silent Ice Center, which opened its doors in September 2023.

“The Edmonton region’s passion for curling paired with the Silent Ice Center’s state-of-the-art facilities will make this a phenomenal Grand Slam event,” said Rachel Homan, 2024 women’s world curling champion. “We always look forward to playing in front of a packed house. We recommend grabbing tickets early so you don’t miss a chance to watch the best curling in the world.”
