We’re profiling 32 teams — one per day — as we get ready for the start of the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling season at the Masters.
Day 6: Team Mouat
Lineup: Bruce Mouat (skip), Grant Hardie (third), Bobby Lammie (second), Hammy McMillan Jr. (lead)
Hometown: Stirling, Scotland
Team Mouat swept through the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling last season capturing both men’s titles in the Calgary bubble.
Mouat posted a 6-1 record through the Humpty’s Champions Cup and an unblemished 7-0 record in the Princess Auto Players’ Championship.
Cousins Hardie and McMillan Jr. linked up with Mouat and Lammie in 2017 and the four clicked together instantly winning back-to-back tour events in Oakville, Ont., to start that season. Mouat was victorious 9-4 over Chang-Min Kim in the 2017 Boost National men’s final in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., to capture his first Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling men’s title and at age 24 became the youngest men’s skip to win a championship in the series.
The Masters kicks off the 2021-22 Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling season and runs Oct. 19-24 at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex in Oakville, Ontario. Tickets are now available, CLICK HERE to purchase yours today.
