64 teams set for HearingLife Tour Challenge in Niagara Falls
The field has now been finalized for the HearingLife Tour Challenge taking place Oct. 17-22 at the Gale Centre in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
Both men’s and women’s divisions feature twice the action and excitement with two tiers and a total of 64 teams from around the world, representing 11 different nations, competing in the first Grand Slam of Curling event of the season.
The Tier 1 divisions feature the top-ranked teams based on the WCF’s world team ranking system. Team Edin and Team Homan are the reigning Tier 1 champions following their title victories during the event last season in Grande Prairie, Alberta.
The Tier 2 divisions feature the next group of teams from the rankings with the winners receiving byes to the Co-op Canadian Open (Jan. 16-21, 2024; Red Deer, Alberta). There will be new champions in Tier 2 as Team Dropkin and Team Grandy, who won the titles a year ago, have moved up the ranks and are now competing in Tier 1.
