Grand Slam of Curling mourning loss of super fan Hans Madsen
Hans Madsen was a one-of-a-kind curling superfan and all of us at the Grand Slam of Curling were saddened to hear the news Thursday morning he had passed away.
Madsen was present at major curling events from coast to coast and you could definitely count on him in the stands for every draw whenever the Meridian Canadian Open was held in his hometown of Yorkton, Sask.
We will miss seeing Madsen in the crowd as his crazy collection of wigs and his colourful beard always brought smiles to our faces as we wondered what combination he’d be sporting next.
