“I’m very excited to be in Steinbach to have a Grand Slam here,” said skip Reid Carruthers, who was on hand for Tuesday’s ticket launch in Steinbach. “It’s been a while since the Grand Slam series has been back to Manitoba. We have a history of supporting our curling events. I can’t wait to showcase, to see what type of event Steinbach can put on.

“We’ve got a beautiful event centre, and I feel like the fans are going to come out and support this event and show everyone, not just in Canada but in the world, what being from Manitoba and supporting curling is all about.”

The Players’ Championship will mark the first time the series has hosted an event in Manitoba since the 2018 Elite 10 in Winnipeg.

“Manitobans love curling,” said curling legend Jennifer Jones, who won a record six Players’ Championship women’s titles. “Southeastern Manitoba is so proud of their curling community and the curling culture. Steinbach is filled with beautiful facilities to draw people to Steinbach and that’s exactly what it’s doing, so they’re going to showcase their beautiful facility, showcase their community and curlers are going to love every second of it.”

The 2025-26 Grand Slam of Curling season will begin with the Masters, Sept. 23-28, in London, Ont. Tickets are now available for all five events, visit thegrandslamofcurling.com/tickets for more information.
