The Players’ Championship features the top 12 men’s teams and top 12 women’s teams from around the world.
It’ll be the ninth time since 2013 that the Mattamy Athletic Centre has hosted the prestigious event.
Canada’s Team Gushue and Switzerland’s Team Tirinzoni took the titles last season in thrilling championship games.
Brad Gushue needed to make a precise draw shot to score the winning point to defeat Joël Retornaz’s team from Italy 7-6 in the men’s final. Silvana Tirinzoni’s squad scored two points in the seventh and held on for a 6-5 victory over Isabella Wranå’s team from Sweden on the women’s side.
