Team Thomas have had a breakout year on tour this season qualifying for the playoffs at all 10 tournaments they’ve competed in. They won the Original 16 Bonspiel and were finalists at the Alberta Boston Pizza Cup.
Thomas captured back-to-back world junior titles in 2006 and 2007. He’s also the reigning Canadian mixed doubles champion with Kalynn Park, and they finished fourth at the worlds.
Team Thomas called upon reigning Canadian junior champion Matt Dunstone to fill in for third Nathan Connolly at the Elite 10.
Dunstone made his Pinty’s GSOC series debut in December as a spare for Team Simmons and skipped his own rink to a runner-up finish at the Manitoba Viterra Championship.
Thomas will make his Pinty’s GSOC series debut as a skip at the 2016 Elite 10 running March 17-20 at the Q Centre at West Shore Parks & Recreation in Victoria. Watch live coverage on Sportsnet.
