Tour Challenge coming to Thunder Bay
The Tour Challenge will make its way to Thunder Bay for the 2018-19 season.
The third stop of the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling heads to Tournament Centre and runs Nov. 6-11.

Featuring 60 teams in total, the Tour Challenge is the largest event in the series. Fifteen of the top men’s teams and 15 of the top women’s teams square off in the Tier 1 division while 15 men’s teams and 15 women’s teams on the rise compete in the Tier 2 division for the opportunity to fast-track up the ranks.
Team Gushue (men’s) and Team Sweeting (women’s) captured the Tour Challenge Tier 1 titles this past season in Regina while Team Gunnlaugson (men’s) and Team Einarson (women’s) earned the Tier 2 titles to receive promotions.
Winners of the Tour Challenge Tier 1 will qualify for the season finale Humpty’s Champions Cup taking place April 23-28, 2019, at Saskatoon’s Merlis Belsher Place.
