Glenn Howard returns to the scene of his 16th (and most recent) Grand Slam title victory.
Team Howard claimed the National title a year ago in Fort McMurray, Alta., after edging Team Gushue 7-6 in the final thanks to a last rock draw to the button to score the winning single.

Howard’s rink is a bit different this time around with Richard Hart coming out of retirement to rejoin the team at third this season and Jon Mead moving over from Manitoba to play second.
Hart won eight Grand Slam titles during his first stint with Howard while Mead captured four with Jeff Stoughton and one with Wayne Middaugh.
Craig Savill is in his 11th season with Team Howard and has earned 12 Grand Slam championships playing lead for the rink.
