We’re taking a look at the teams set to compete in the inaugural Syncrude Elite 10, the fourth stop on the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling series, highlighting a different rink each day leading up to the event. Today’s profile: Team Brad Jacobs.

It’s been an incredible run over the past few seasons for Team Jacobs that has seen them rise to the top of the curling scene. The rink captured the Tim Hortons Brier and earned a silver medal at the worlds in 2013 and followed that up by winning the gold medal at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.

Their success in the curling world along the way also includes running the table at the 2013 Canadian Olympic Trials, three trips to the final at Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling events, a runner-up finish at the 2014 Canada Cup of Curling and taking home the most recent Pinty’s All-Star Curling Skins Game title this past January.

Skip Brad Jacobs guided them to the Northern Ontario championship in February to make a return visit to the Brier. Team Jacobs came out of the gate strong and earned the silver medal at the national tournament.
