Stoughton announces new lineup for 2014-15
Rob Fowler is returning to Jeff Stoughton’s Winnipeg team in the fall.
Stoughton tweeted his new lineup on Wednesday, featuring former teammate Fowler along with new additions Alex Forrest and Connor Njegovan.
Fowler won three Manitoba provincial titles in the four seasons he played with Stoughton from 2006 to 2010. Their team also captured bronze at the 2007 Brier and silver in 2009.
Stoughton’s team parted ways following the season-ending Players’ Championship with Jon Mead linking up with Glenn Howard in Penetanguishene, Ont., Mark Nichols rejoining Brad Gushue in St. John’s and Reid Carruthers forming his own rink.
Stoughton has won three Brier and two world championships and is one of only four skips to have completed a career Grand Slam.
