Spencer to fill in on Team Gushue for Tour Challenge
Adam Spencer is back in the lineup with Team Gushue for the upcoming Tour Challenge in Cranbrook, B.C.
Spencer will play third with skip Brad Gushue expected to miss his seventh event to start the season due to a hip injury. Regular vice Mark Nichols continues to skip the team in Gushue’s absence.
The team is rounded out with second Brett Gallant and lead Geoff Walker.
The Guelph, Ont., native Spencer has made a pair of appearances with Team Gushue already this season and helped them win the Stu Sells Toronto Tankard this past month.
Charley Thomas subbed for Gushue last week at the WFG Masters in Okotoks, Alta., and reached the quarterfinals. Thomas will play in the Tour Challenge with his Edmonton-based team featuring Craig Savill at lead.
Team Gushue’s first game at the Tour Challenge is Wednesday at 1 p.m. MT against Team Smith of Scotland.
