Rachel Brown, Dana Ferguson join Kelsey Rocque’s team
Front-end duo Rachel Brown and Dana Ferguson have linked up with Kelsey Rocque’s team, the Edmonton club announced Saturday.
Brown (lead) and Ferguson (second) have played eight seasons together, including the past two with skip Chelsea Carey, and won the Scotties Tournament of Hearts a year ago. They also captured three Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling women’s titles and a Pinty’s Cup with Val Sweeting as skip.
“The 2019 Scotties Tournament of Hearts champions and a world-class front end — we are thrilled to add two players with such impressive resumes and experience,” Team Rocque said in a social media post. “We are already excited to get back on the ice next fall! We hope everyone stays safe and healthy during this time and has a great summer. See you in the fall!”
Team Rocque has finished runner-up at Alberta provincials during the previous two seasons. Rocque and third Danielle Schmiemann parted ways with second Becca Hebert and lead Jesse Marlow last week.
