Olds to host 2022 Humpty’s Champions Cup
The Olds Sportsplex in Olds, Alta., will now host the Humpty’s Champions Cup in 2022.
Olds was originally selected to hold the 2020 Humpty’s Champions Cup. The event was postponed in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic and pushed back to 2021. Sportsnet and the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling announced Thursday they have partnered with Curling Canada to explore holding two events — the 2021 Princess Auto Players’ Championship and 2021 Humpty’s Champions Cup — in a proposed hub city concept in Calgary at WinSport’s Canada Olympic Park.
Refunds will be given to all ticket purchasers for the 2021 Humpty’s Champions Cup in Olds, Alta., before Jan. 4, 2021.
The Humpty’s Champions Cup features 12 men’s teams and 12 women’s teams who have won high-profile tournaments in order to qualify.
