Women’s division added to Pinty’s GSOC National

It’s going to be double the action and excitement at the National.

The Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling series is pleased to announce the National will expand with the addition of a women’s division championship. The event joins the Masters, Canadian Open and Players’ Championship as majors on tour to feature both men’s and women’s competitions.

The 2015 National will begin a day earlier and run from Nov. 10-15 at the General Motors Centre in Oshawa, Ont. In addition to 15 of the top-ranked men’s teams from around the world, fans can now expect to see 15 of the best women’s rinks such as Sochi Winter Olympics gold medallist Jennifer Jones, two-time Scotties Tournament of Hearts winner Rachel Homan and reigning Rogers Grand Slam Cup champion Eve Muirhead among others.

Fans who have already purchased all-event passes are in for a treat as they will not be charged extra for these value-added women’s draws but they are required to visit the General Motors Centre box office after Aug. 4 to exchange them for our new ones as their old passes will no longer be valid for the event.

The National is the third stop on the expanded seven-event 2015-16 Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling schedule, which kicks off Sept. 8 with the all-new GSOC Tour Challenge in Paradise, N.L.
