Moffitt to start 6th in NASCAR trucks race at CTMP

Brett Moffitt will start in sixth place for Sunday’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race, the Chevrolet Silverado 250, at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ont.

Moffitt’s No. 11 Red Horse Racing Toyota Tundra features the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling logo on the hood this weekend. Curling rocks also appear down the rear quarter panels.

The 24-year-old Moffitt posted a best speed of 110.266 mph with a best time of 80.282 seconds, just 1.107 seconds behind Cole Custer, who will start Sunday’s race from pole position.

Moffitt, from Grimes, Iowa, is fresh off of earning his first career NASCAR Camping World Trucks Series victory last weekend at Michigan International Speedway.

The Cheverolet Silverado 250 is scheduled for Sunday afternoon with TV coverage starting at 2 p.m. ET on Fox Sports Racing in Canada and Fox Sports 1 in the U.S.
