Hosts Robbie Doherty and John Cullen Sweep Into Podcasting with Broom Brothers
September 26, 2024 — John Cullen and Robbie Doherty team up to bring fans a fresh take on the world of curling with Broom Brothers, a brand new podcast presented by The Curling Group.
Dropping episodes every two weeks, Broom Brothers makes its debut at Midnight EDT on YouTube, Apple and Spotify, featuring an interview with Swiss curler and Olympic bronze medalist Benoît Schwarz-van Berkel.
Cullen is no stranger to the podcast world as the host of the popular limited series Broomgate: A Curling Scandal. Former curler Doherty can currently be seen on Sportsnet’s broadcasts of the Grand Slam of Curling, where he also serves as in-venue emcee.
“We’re going to bring you all of the hot takes you can handle, personality-focused player interviews you won’t be able to find anywhere else, and hopefully a lot of laughs,” said Cullen. “I’ve been doing some form of curling podcasting for seven years and thrilled to team up with Robbie; someone whose work I’ve admired for a long time. We’re both dedicated to putting the curlers’ amazing personalities first and showcasing how funny and warm this sport and its community is. Can’t wait to get started!”
