Kevin Koe parts ways with second Jacques Gauthier

Kevin Koe has parted ways with second Jacques Gauthier.

The Calgary-based club made the announcement Tuesday on social media. No replacement has been named yet.

The 25-year-old from Winnipeg previously skipped his own squad and joined Team Koe at the start of last season after second Brad Thiessen stepped back from competitive curling.

The team also features lead Karrick Martin and third Tyler Tardi, who is Gauthier’s cousin.

Team Koe won two events and reached five finals during the 2023-24 campaign. Koe competed in all five Grand Slam of Curling events but did not qualify for the playoffs.

Koe is ranked 13th in the world and is set to compete in the first Grand Slam of Curling event of the season, the HearingLife Tour Challenge, Oct. 1-6 in Charlottetown.
