Jacques Gauthier joins Jordon McDonald’s team for next season
Jordon McDonald has added Jacques Gauthier to his lineup for next season, the Winnipeg-based team announced Tuesday.
Gauthier takes over at third after the team parted ways with Dallas Burgess last week.

The 26-year-old Gauthier is a two-time world junior champion and has made three appearances for three different teams in the Brier. He served as the alternate for Manitoba’s Jason Gunnlaugson in 2021, skipped his own B.C. club in 2023 and played second for Alberta’s Kevin Koe in 2024.
After splitting with Team Koe in the fall, Gauthier returned to skipping and reached the final eight in Manitoba provincial playdowns in February.
McDonald had a breakout season on tour, winning two events and finishing runner-up three times. He upset Matt Dunstone and Koe to reach the semifinals of the PointsBet Invitational in September and made his Grand Slam of Curling debut at the WFG Masters in January.
His team, which includes second Elias Huminicki and lead Cameron Olafson, finished the season No. 19 in the world rankings.
