7 tour winners qualify for Humpty’s Champions Cup

Ottawa’s Rachel Homan has booked a spot for the Humpty’s Champions Cup.

The Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling announced Wednesday the initial list of tour winners who have qualified for their season-ending event running April 25-30 at WinSport Arena at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary.

Homan, a five-time Grand Slam champion, received an invite by winning the Canad Inns Women’s Classic earlier this season.

Bingyu Wang of China and Anna Hasselborg of Sweden also earned places for the women’s division. Tour winners were selected based on their event’s strength of field multiplier.

Calgary’s Kevin Koe, the reigning world champion, clinched a berth by winning the AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic in September.

Saskatoon’s Steve Laycock, Peter de Cruz of Switzerland and Toronto’s John Epping secured their Humpty’s Champions Cup spots as well.

The Humpty’s Champions Cup features all of the top winners of the curling season in one final showdown. Full-event and weekend passes are now available, visit Ticketmaster.ca or call 1-855-985-500 today!
