Hasselborg, Edin to represent Sweden at 2026 Olympic Winter Games
Anna Hasselborg and Niklas Edin will look to return to the top of the podium next year at the Olympic Winter Games.
Team Hasselborg and Team Edin were named Sweden’s Olympic curling teams for Milan-Cortina 2026 on Wednesday.
Hasselborg, third Sara McManus, second Agnes Knochenhauer and lead Sofia Mabergs captured gold in the women’s tournament at the 2018 Olympics in Pyeongchang and earned bronze four years later in Beijing.
Edin, who will make his fifth consecutive Olympic appearance, has claimed a medal of every colour in the men’s tournament. He took bronze at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, silver in Pyeongchang and gold in Beijing.
His team includes third Oskar Eriksson, second Rasmus Wranå and lead Christoffer Sundgren.
It’ll be double duty for Wranå in Milan-Cortina. He will team up with his sister, Isabella Wranå, for the mixed doubles tournament. The Wranå siblings won gold at the 2024 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship on home ice in Sweden.
The Olympic mixed doubles tournament will run Feb. 4-10 in Cortina d’Ampezzo, followed by the men’s (Feb. 11-21) and women’s (Feb. 12-22) events.
