Gotta See It: Morris scores 5 to qualify at National

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. — Calgary’s Team John Morris has found it’s “mo-jo” winning its last three games of the round robin to qualify for the playoffs at the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling National.

Morris dropped his first two matches of the tournament but heated up and punched his ticket to the quarterfinals with a 7-4 win Friday night over Winnipeg’s Team Jeff Stoughton.

The win came courtesy of this five-ender in the fifth that broke a 2-2 tied game and erased Team Stoughton’s hopes of advancing.
