Fay, Mouat earn Humpty’s Champions Cup spots

Canada’s Mary Fay and Scotland’s Bruce Mouat have qualified for the Humpty’s Champions Cup, the brand new season-ending event of the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling series.

Fay earned her spot after defeating American Cory Christensen 7-4 to capture the world junior curling championship Sunday in Taarnby, Denmark.

Meanwhile, Mouat beat American Korey Dropkin 6-3 to capture the world junior men’s title.

The Humpty’s Champions Cup brings together the top event winners of the curling season for one final showdown to cap the season and runs April 26 to May 1 at the Sherwood Park Arena Sports Centre in Sherwood Park, Alta.
