Over the course of 10 days, we’re profiling all 10 teams set to compete in the Princess Auto Elite 10. Day 9: Team Jacobs.
Jacobs won his second career Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling title earlier this season on home ice in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., at the Boost National. Team Jacobs went 2-2 through the round robin and won four straight over the likes of De Cruz, Morris, Gushue and Carruthers en route to the title.
The team also finished runner-up at the WFG Masters in October and most recently finished fourth at the Tim Hortons Brier.

The reigning Olympic champions earned the gold medal at the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, Russia. They captured the Brier tankard in 2013 and took silver at the world championship.
Jacobs won his first career Grand Slam title at the 2015 Players’ Championship and also claimed the Rogers Grand Slam Cup as the overall Pinty’s GSOC season champion.
Fry also won the National in 2010 with Team Gushue.
The Princess Auto Elite 10 starts Thursday and runs through to Sunday at the Civic Centre in Port Hawkesbury, N.S.
