Over the course of 10 days, we’re profiling all 10 teams set to compete in the 2018 Princess Auto Elite 10. Day 2: Team Niklas Edin.
Team Edin recently represented Sweden at the Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, and earned the silver medal. It was the third consecutive Winter Games for Edin, who also claimed bronze in 2014.
Edin has won three titles on tour this season and captured a fourth consecutive European Championship to clinch a spot in the season-ending Humpty’s Champions Cup.
They are two-time finalists in the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling this season coming in second place to Team Brad Gushue at the Masters in Lloydminster, Sask., and Team Peter de Cruz at the Meridian Canadian Open in Camrose, Alta.

Edin is a three-time Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling champion and winner of the 2016-17 GSOC Bonus Cup. The team made history at the 2016 Masters in Okotoks, Alta., becoming the first non-Canadian men’s squad to capture a title in the series. It was also Wrana’s debut in the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling. Their other title wins came at the 2016 Tour Challenge (just two weeks later) and the 2017 Players’ Championship.
They finished runner-up to Team Mike McEwen at the inaugural Elite 10 in Fort McMurray, Alta., in 2015.
