Elite 10 Teams in 10 Days: Edin
Over the course of 10 days, we’re profiling all 10 teams set to compete in the Princess Auto Elite 10. Day 4: Team Edin.
Edin has had a banner season on tour this year winning six titles including two Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling championships. The Swedish squad’s victory at the WFG Masters in Okotoks, Alta., in late October — stealing in an extra end over Team Jacobs in the final — made history as the quartet became the first non-Canadian men’s team to capture a title in the series.
They won their second Pinty’s GSOC championship just two weeks later at the Tour Challenge in Cranbrook, B.C., defeating Scotland’s Team Smith, the first all-European men’s final in the series. Team Edin made it to a third Pinty’s GSOC final at the Meridian Canadian Open in North Battleford, Sask., in January finishing runner-up to Team Gushue.

Edin is a two-time world champion and earned the bronze medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
Eriksson is a former skip himself and captained Sweden to silver at the 2014 world championship. Wrana, also a skip previously, joined the club this season straight out of juniors and went 2-for-2 winning Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling titles in his first pair of events in the series.
Team Edin finished runner-up to Team McEwen at the inaugural Elite 10 in Fort McMurray, Alta., in 2015.
The Princess Auto Elite 10 runs March 16-19 at the Civic Centre in Port Hawkesbury, N.S.
