De Cruz, who skips while throwing second stones, captured the Swiss national championship and will be heading to Edmonton for the world championship right after the Princess Auto Elite 10.
The Geneva-based team also took bronze at the European Championship this season and their victory at the Baden Masters back in August helped them earn an invite to the year-ending Humpty’s Champions Cup.

De Cruz skipped Switzerland to a bronze medal at the 2014 worlds edging Canada’s Kevin Koe for the final podium spot.
Schwarz and Paetz represented their country at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
De Cruz, Schwarz and Tanner captured gold at the world juniors in 2010 defeating Scotland in the final. They came just short of defending the championship settling for silver the following year after falling to Sweden, skipped by Oskar Eriksson.
