Carey parting ways with Edmonton teammates

Changes on are on the way for Team Carey.

A post on Team Carey’s Facebook page Tuesday announced skip Chelsea Carey is leaving the rink while third Laura Crocker, second Taylor McDonald and lead Jen Gates will be making new plans for next season.

Carey captured bronze with Team Manitoba at the 2014 Scotties Tournament of Hearts and headed west to Edmonton this past summer to form a new rink with Crocker, McDonald and Gates. They won two World Curling Tour events this season and finished runner-up to Team Sweeting at the Alberta Scotties in January.

Team Carey competed in two Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling events, reaching the quarterfinals at the Canadian Open in December.
