We’re profiling all 24 teams, one per day, to get ready for the return of the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling leading up to the start of the Humpty’s Champions Cup.
Day 22: Team Einarson

Home club: Gimli Curling Club; Gimli, Man.
Team Einarson are the two-time (TWO-TIME!) reigning Canadian women’s champions. Einarson captured her first career Scotties Tournament of Hearts title last year for Manitoba and successfully defended the gold as Team Canada in February in the Calgary bubble. Both times Team Einarson defeated Ontario’s Team Homan in the final.
They are also the reigning Princess Auto Players’ Championship women’s champions capturing that title at Ryerson’s Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto in 2019 beating Team Hasselborg in the final. Team Einarson finished runners-up to Team Tirinzoni in the 2019 Humpty’s Champions Cup in Saskatoon.
Einarson finished fifth in the Pinty’s Cup standings in 2019-20 with the team’s best result in the KIOTI Tractor Tour Challenge as runners-up to Team Hasselborg.
Sweeting won three Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling women’s titles and the Pinty’s Cup while skipping her former squad. Einarson also won the 2016 BOOST National and two Tour Challenge Tier 2 titles (2015 and 2017).
