The Tour Challenge features a total of 30 men’s teams and 30 women’s teams. Both divisions are split into two tiers with 15 teams each. Round-robin play consists of three pools with five teams each. The top eight teams overall qualify for the playoffs.
Tier 1: The top 15 men’s and women’s teams based on WCF World Team Rankings rankings will be invited to participate.
Tier 2: Once the Tier 1 field has been confirmed, an additional 10 invitations will be extended based on WCF World Team Rankings beyond the Tier 1 field. To complete the Tier 2 field, five regional invitations will be extended at the discretion of the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling to teams within the province or region that the event is being held.
The winners of the Tier 2 event will receive an invitation to a future Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling major event.
